That\u2019s just cortisol doing its thing! But soon, this high-energy phase turns into fussiness, meltdowns, and bedtime battles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then comes another classic concern:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;If I try putting my baby to bed earlier, they refuse to sleep!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I get it. But think about this: if left to decide on their own, toddlers would eat&nbsp;<strong>candy and ice cream for dinner every night<\/strong>. We don\u2019t let them because we know what\u2019s best for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The same goes for sleep.<\/strong>&nbsp;It\u2019s our job to&nbsp;<strong>protect their sleep schedule<\/strong>, even when they don\u2019t know they need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:28px\"><strong>The Fix: Try This for Two Weeks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your baby wakes up multiple times a night, is cranky during the day, or struggles to fall asleep,&nbsp;<strong>try this for two weeks<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714&nbsp;<strong>Follow their wake windows<\/strong>&nbsp;carefully to prevent overtiredness.<br>\u2714&nbsp;<strong>Put them to sleep at the first signs of tiredness<\/strong>, taking advantage of natural melatonin production.<br>\u2714&nbsp;<strong>Adjust their schedule as needed<\/strong>&nbsp;based on their age and sleep patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many parents fear that too much daytime sleep will mean less sleep at night.
